Human Resources Generalist
specializing in
FMLA & ADA
to join our team and provide comprehensive HR support across our senior living communities. This role will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring consistent HR practices across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Leave Management:Oversee FMLA, ADA, and Paid Leave of Oregon administration, including eligibility verification, notices, tracking, and return-to-work transitions. Ensure all processes comply with applicable laws and are communicated effectively.• Employee Relations & Compliance:Address complex HR matters, including investigations, employee suspensions, counseling, and terminations. Provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring a respectful and compliant work environment.• Training & Development:Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on HR-related topics such as leave management, compliance, and employee relations. Promote consistent HR practices across all locations.• Recruitment Support:Assist with recruitment initiatives, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer letter preparation. Provide backup support to the HR department for recruiting as needed.• Process Improvement:Lead HR process enhancement initiatives, focusing on streamlining operations and improving community training and education. Develop and present materials to support these initiatives.• Regulatory Compliance:Maintain current knowledge of employment and leave laws, providing timely updates, resources, and training to community leaders. Collaborate with leadership to implement new HR policies as needed.• Onboarding & Integration:Provide HR support for new community developments, acquisitions, and onboarding processes, including preparing new hire documentation, benefits setup, and labor postings.• Data Management & Reporting:Maintain accurate HR records and files. Prepare and submit Department of Labor and census reports and other related documentation as required.
Qualifications:• Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, with specialized knowledge of FMLA and ADA.• HR Experience:Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role with progressively responsible experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.• Multi-State Knowledge:Strong understanding of multi-state employment regulations, particularly those relating to leave management, wage and hour laws, and general compliance.• Training Experience:Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training for managers and staff.• Software Proficiency:Proficient in HR tools and software, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.• Organizational Skills:Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.• Communication & Flexibility:Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
