Physical Requirements
This position may require lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. and sitting for moderate periods of time.
Shift
Mostly day shift. Monday through Friday. Other shifts and overtime as needed.
Job Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology seeks an individual to provide administrative support for the Anesthesiology faculty, including the Division Chief of Neuroanesthesia. Responsibilities will include assistance with scheduling, correspondence, manuscript preparation, poster creation, and file maintenance.
This position will also support simulation education activities, heavily assisting the simulation team in development and execution of medical education scenarios using the human patient simulator. The successful applicant will have a high level of technical aptitude, independent decision making, discretion, and creativity involving matters of significance.
Additionally, this position will work with the Department Research Coordinator to manage ongoing research projects, identify and support new research projects, assist with writing research protocols, and manage research databases. This position will assist both faculty and clinical staff with the documentation necessary for continuing education.
The successful applicant will have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
There is opportunity for hybrid work following training/probation.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Office Suite, office/clerical experience and technology experience.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Associate's degree plus three or more years related experience preferred. Proficiency with technology is essential.
