Description
We are seeking a skilled Desk Auto Team Lead to join our team. This individual will report to Rural Mutual's Desk Auto Claim Manager and will assist in the management of Desk Auto Claims Adjusters to ensure timely and accurate resolution of auto claims while maintaining a high level of customer service. This team lead will work directly with the Manager to assist in administrative tasks, team case load management, process improvement, and provide support for the desk auto claims team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in auto insurance, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to build our growing auto unit.
This is a remote position within the State of Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
•Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development among claims adjusters. •Manage a reduced case load of claims and provide back up support when adjusters are out of the office. •Serve as a mentor for new hires as well as supporting new hiring training. •Provide support to the manager in facilitating team meetings/huddles. •Assist in assigning claims and managing claim inventories for each adjuster. •Elevate any trends or coaching opportunities to the manager. •Coordinate resources with other functions such as subrogation, casualty, field, and desk unit. •Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the overall customer experience throughout the claims process. •Resolve escalated customer concerns and inquiries, demonstrating a commitment to excellent customer service. •Review and respond to satisfaction survey results. •Support and assist in implementing strategies to help achieve corporate goals. •Required travel to our corporate office in Madison and various meeting locations throughout the state. •Other duties as assigned, including special projects and/or ad hoc assignments as requested by management.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., insurance, business administration, risk management) or equivalent work experience. •Previous supervision experience or minimum of five years of auto adjusting experience. •Possesses a deep understanding of claims file management, investigation, and settlement procedures, as well as broad knowledge in automobile mechanics, repair processes, and automotive insurance policies. •Experience handling bodily injury claims. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders. •Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software applications. •Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. •Understanding of insurance regulations and compliance standards. •Strong decision-making, prioritization, and analytical skills. •Ability to perform in a self-motivated environment. •AIC and/or CPCU designation ideal.
