Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic procurement team. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the procurement process and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to various procurement activities, assisting with supplier management, data analysis, and purchasing tasks.
This is a hybrid role in our corporate location in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA), work from home 2 days a week.
Primary Duties
Assist in the procurement process by supporting the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.Maintain and update procurement databases and documentation.Assist in processing and storage of supplier contracts.Assist in the preparation and analysis of procurement reports and metrics.Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.Assist in managing supplier relationships and resolving any issues that arise.Qualifications
Completed Business, Finance, or Accounting related coursework (preferred).Interest in Supply Chain.Aptitude to actively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Strong attention to detail.Strong analytical skills.Ability to obtain direction from audit project leads and perform requested tasks while proactively seeking guidance to ensure complete understanding.Must possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism.Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.Education / Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree from an accredited college/universityMajoring in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Data &Analytics, or a related fieldMinimum completion of two years or more of college preferred before the start of your internship.Minimum of 3.0 GPARelevant internship, work experience, and/or involvement with professional clubs/organizations
