COOK: POSITION SUMMARYLocation: Miller's SmorgasbordMiller's Smorgasbord Cooks prepare and/or direct the preparation of food to be served in a high-volume restaurant environment to ensure continuous supply of food offerings to meet peak demand periods. Production cooks must comply with all food production programs and procedures frequently reviewing supply demand is being met with food production to the buffet bars. LINE COOK POSITION SUMMARYLocation: Smokehouse BBQ and Brews

Smokehouse BBQ and Brews Line Cooks I & II prepare and/or direct the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Ensure appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste. We have available openings for part-time positions which include peak dinner and weekend hours based on a volume-based schedule with 2-3 shifts per week with evening shifts, Monday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Line Cook Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreparing or directing preparation of food served using established production procedures and systemsDetermining amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems; ensuring availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation; serving or ensuring proper serving of food for tray line or dining roomComplying with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards; observing proper food preparation and handling techniquesStoring food properly and safely by marking dates and itemsReporting necessary equipment repair and maintenanceCorrectly preparing all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders; portioning food for servingPlanning food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preservedMaintaining daily production recordsKeeping work area neat and clean at all times; cleaning and maintaining equipment used in food preparationCompleting food temperature checks before servicePerforming other work-related duties as assigned

Miller's Smorgasbord Prep Cook prepare and present consistent and great tasting food according to Miller's recipes and standards and adhere to maintaining high sanitation and safety standards every day.

Prep Cook Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure all recipes, procedures, storage, rotation and product specifications are followed on a daily basis to ensure our guests dine on high quality and safe foodStock your station to the manager prescribed levels in preparation to meet all of our guests' needsRespond quickly and positively to any re-cooks or replenishment requestsAct and communicate with a manager when product levels might be low or running outMaintain the highest quality and sanitation practices throughout the shiftAlways remember - hot food hot, cold food coldAlways keep your workstation and equipment clean to meet food safety standardsLook for ways to minimize food waste and reduce breakage of equipment and service wareLook for work that needs to be done and always be ready to assist any team member that may need help.Be sure to complete all assigned duties and work in the allotted time as prescribed by your manager

PANTRY POSITION SUMMARYLocation: Smokehouse BBQ and BrewsThe Smokehouse BBQ and Brews Pantry/Cold Line helps the Line Cooks to fulfill the cold sides by reading a ticket once the order is completed and sent to the kitchen. Must be able to expedite items quickly during peak business times in a timely manner to ensure quality and service standards are maintained. Replenishment of pantry is also a key component to ensure it is well stocked to handle the peak dining hours.

Pantry Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of qualityPreparing, cooking, plating, garnishing, following par sheets and recipesUsing safe food handling proceduresMinimizing wasteEnsuring that all food products are stored & rotated properly

Pantry Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Must be at least 16 years of age or olderBasic knife skillsAbility to efficiently set up and maintain workstationAbility to work with position, supportive attitude, skill, speed, and cleanlinessAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysNo experience necessary, will train.
