Job Description:
Seeking an experienced paralegal that is interested in transitioning to the title industry and working in real estate transactions. It is a fast paced industry. We're seeking someone with excellent customer service and attentiveness to detail. Will be drafting documents and comfortability with numbers is helpful.
Processes and responsible for reviewing purchase contracts and summarizing material terms; comparing commitment detail with order detail, reviewing tax detail, reviewing entity documents, assisting with advanced clearing needs on files, reviewing zoning detail, reviewing status of the Utah State Construction Registry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviewing purchase contracts and summarizing material terms Comparing commitment detail with order detail Reviewing tax detail Reviewing entity documents and confirming authority of signors Assisting with advanced clearing needs on files Reviewing zoning detail and requesting zoning certificates from municipalities Reviewing status of the Utah State Construction Registry; requesting lien waivers as needed Assisting in taking orders and creating files Must be personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company. Regular consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after hour Company events. Willingness to interact with clients; assistance in answering phones Ability to accept supervision. Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, external and internal customers, and vendors. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person. Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Accurate typing and computer proficiency required. Preferred training or experience as a paralegal Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with aptitude for performing mathematical and accounting functions.
