is searching for an
OSP Construction Coordinator
in
Fort Wayne, IN . A successful candidate will be well-versed in outside plant telecommunications construction, as we run cable fiber for aerial and underground scenarios.
In this role, your primary position responsibilities will include: Develop and implement strategic plans for fiber network construction, aligning with the company goals. Lead the planning, design, and execution of fiber deployment projects. Provide executive oversight of project timelines, budgets, and resources. Establish construction objectives, and metrics to measure project success and team performance. Implement and maintain quality assurance (QA/QC) processes throughout construction phases. Address any construction-related challenges, working closely with engineering, permitting, and vendor teams to resolve issues. Oversee the permitting process, coordinating with permitting teams to ensure timely project approvals. Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration between construction, engineering, and network operations teams. Represent the construction division in executive and board meetings, providing strategic insights and updates. Introduce best practices and process improvements to enhance construction efficiency. Evaluate and adopt new tools and methodologies to optimize construction workflows and data management. Other related duties as assigned. That's the day in the life of a PRG Construction Coordinator!

Experience:
Must have five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in cable construction. Educated on local area dig laws. Skills and abilities:
Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors. Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs. Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects. Strong understanding of fiber and coax engineering. Computer proficiency and Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to various stakeholders and management. Strong communication skills and ability to adjust delivery to your audience verbally and in writing. Willingness to use your vehicle in the field (mileage reimbursement at the standard federal rate). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Interested and able to work overtime occasionally to meet project demands. Perform job functions both indoors and outdoors, rain or shine. Must be able to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day. PRG offers the following perks and compensation:
$34 to $38 per hour, depending on experience. Mileage reimbursement for vehicle use. Health benefits include medical, dental & vision for you and your dependents on the first of the month following your start date. Company-paid Short-term Disability benefits after one year of service. 401(k) Plan on the first of the month following your start date with a safe-harbor match after one year of service.
