Monitors, audits, and reconciles department accounts. Provides routine and specialized statistical reports. Assures operational activity compliance related to human resource, finance and budgeting, facilities, research, timekeeping, purchasing functions.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Management/Administration, Accounting, or related field and four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/AKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge and skill in administrative, accounting, budgeting, auditing, purchasing, and analysis principles, practices, and procedures. Skill in the use of computers and related software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products and database software. Verbal and written communication skills. Records maintenance skills. Skill in interacting diplomatically with persons of various educational, social, and cultural backgrounds. Analytical and problem resolution skills. Ability to create, maintain, and update databases and spreadsheets.Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports as requested. Researches, monitors, analyzes, investigates, and reconciles account balance problems. Recommends procedural corrections.Creates and updates labor distributions, initiates and tracks personnel actions, resolves payroll issues, and monitors timekeeping and leave reporting processes.Maintains and reconciles departmental contracts. Coordinates payment of invoices, processing of travel and expense reimbursements and maintenance of receivables.Handles deposits, check requests, petty cash, and supports month and year end reporting.Oversees physical facilities and equipment assigned to the department. Plans and manages maintenance of space assigned to the department. Oversees renovation projects and acquisition of new equipment. Maintains supply chain processes for the department and resolves supply issues.Assures department compliance with all regulatory, UMMC, and/or other external and internal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to operational activities.Participates on operations team to improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet operational demands. Develop monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for financial reports and analysis. Maintains IHL Budgeting Reports.
