NTT DATA Services currently seeking remote Medical Intake Associatesto join our team.Estimated start date for this project 2/17/2025. This is scheduled to be a 6+ month work from home contract role.Position Summary:
The Intake Associate takes in-bound calls from members, providers, providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all requests, and transfers all clinical questions and judgement calls to the nurse or pharmacist. The Intake Associate will also assist with other duties such as outbound calls, monitoring/responding to inquiries in mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team.Duties
:Effectively manage work volume by handling inbound calls/fax/ePA requestsComply with departmental, company, state, and federal requirements when processing all information to ensure accuracy of information being provided to internal and external customers.Communication with other internal groups regarding determination status and results (nurses, pharmacists, medical staff).Job Requirements:
* 3+ years of related work experience.* 1+ years of Prior authorization experience* 3+ year of data entry experience* 1+ years of customer service experience in a high volume environmentPreferred Requirements:
1.Strong Attention to detail2.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to maintain patient confidentiality3.Proficient computer skills and the ability to navigate in a Windows based environment4. Ability to follow directions, and adapt in dynamic work environment; ability to adapt to change and remain flexible5.Ability to work in a high pressure, time sensitive environment6.Project a professional business image, through phone interaction as well as internal communications7.Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail8.Demonstrated sense of urgency with assignments9.Strong organizational skills10.Strong telephone skills11.Ability to read and understand pharmacy/medical terminology12.Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence, technical procedures and governmental regulations.13.Ability to identify and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations maybe required14.Ability to interpret a variety of work instructions provided through a variety of mediums 15.Ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues with urgency16.Ability to consistently meet quality and production standards17.Displays confidence in the ability to learn complex material18.Demonstrates intellectual curiosity through inquiries to ensure deep understanding of the business and deliver accurate resultsEducation
:High School Diploma or GED required.Associates degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.Hours: Training will be Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm EST. After training schedule will be assigned with an 8 hour shift between
9am-7pm EST
