Details Client NameOSF Saint Francis Medical Center Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyPACU Job ID29538403 Job TitleRN - PACU - SFMC Weekly Pay$2486.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 09AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date12/09/2024 End Date03/10/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered NurseJob Specialty: PACUJob Duration: 13 weeksShift: 8-hour daysGuaranteed Hours: 40 hours per weekExperience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience, preferably with Critical Care ExperienceLicense: State License requiredCertifications: BLS, ACLS, PALSMust-Have: Understanding of Drug-Free Campus policy and negative drug screen resultsJob Description:- Provide Phase I Recovery care for approximately 80-90 patients, including pediatric cases, following general and complex surgeries/procedures in a Level 1 Trauma Center.- Care for ICU patients awaiting hospital bed allocation and handle catheter lab procedures requiring anesthesia, such as TAVR, ablations, and pacemaker installations.- Utilize EPIC and OP TIME for computerized charting and medication systems.- Work shifts of varying lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours).- Participate in call shifts: 3 overnight call shifts in a 6-week period, with no weekend work required.- Remain within the recovery room area, covering any of the 5 PACUs on site, which feature a total of 50 beds across different specialties.- Maintain Phase I Recovery Nurse to patient ratio: 1 RN to 2 patients, and Phase 3 Recovery Nurse to patient ratio: 1 RN to 3-4 patients.- Wear surgical scrubs provided by the facility.- Attend a comprehensive orientation to familiarize with acute level care, which is equivalent to ICU, focusing on main PACU areas.- Work in a fast-paced, critical care environment handling around 100 patients daily, regularly managing 2 patients concurrently during Phase I recovery.Additional Comments:- Equivalent of 12 hours can be called off every 13 weeks without penalty or need to pay for the shift.- Non-billable orientation hours total 12; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted.
