The Quality Control Inspector will inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards, and approve of or hold product as required per inspection standards.LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 3995 Pine Ln SE, Bessemer, AL 35022ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform testing to ensure conformance.Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications.Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards.Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.Complete required documentation/paperwork as directed for assigned position to support Royal Switchgear requirements.Control of non-conforming parts and products.QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:High school diploma/GED required.Prior experience working in industrial manufacturing is preferred.Ability to demonstrate proficiency with reading manufacturing blueprints and utilizing tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to perform quality inspections is required.At least one year's experience in Quality Control Inspection preferred.Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance with consistent schedule adherence.Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.Proven experience as a quality control inspector preferred.Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards.Excellent oral and communication skills.Proficient in reading engineering documentation; prints, drawings, bill of materials.Proficient in using inspection tools; angle gauge, tape measure, micrometer, and calipers.Proficient in computer Word processing and Microsoft Office applications.Good knowledge about industry products and processes.Basic mathematical arithmetic, presentation, and reporting skills.Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.WORKING CONDITIONS:The work condition characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:Must be able to lift 50 lbs as needed throughout the work shift.Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.May encounter occasional stressful situations.
