The Opportunity

The School Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and various school-related activities. This role requires a commitment to ensuring a safe and positive environment for students while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. This position is part-time.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Transportation:

Safely drive students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and other designated locations. Follow designated routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary for traffic or weather conditions. Ensure timely arrival and departure from school and activity locations. Safety: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working order. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized van, ensuring all safety equipment is operational and accessible. Assist students in boarding and disembarking the van safely. Student Interaction:

Provide a positive and supportive environment for students, addressing any issues or concerns in a calm and professional manner. Supervise students during transportation to ensure their safety and comfort. Report any behavioral issues or incidents to school authorities as needed. Communication:

Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators regarding schedules, delays, and any issues. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and any maintenance or repairs needed for the vehicle. Administrative Duties:

Complete and submit all required paperwork, including incident reports, vehicle inspection logs, and any other documentation as requested. Attend training sessions and meetings as required. Qualifications

The Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience driving a van or similar vehicle, particularly in a school or childcare setting, is a plus. Licensing & Certifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Posted Salary Range

Starting from USD $20.00/Hr.
