Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $40.19 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

Conagra Brands is looking for a Maintenance Electrician Technician for the Troy plant in Troy, Ohio. You should have technical skills with a solid mechanical aptitude, able to perform diversified tasks to install and maintain electronic components of production machines and the plant facility's equipment and have the desire to work in a team-based environment.

Hours for this 3rd shift position are: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Ability to stay over shift, work weekends, Holidays and overtime)

Responsibilities Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning electrical systems in an industrial/manufacturing environment

Interpret and create electrical drawings & schematics

Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment

Install safety and distribution components: switches, resistors, circuit break panels.

Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through conduits

Prevent breakdown of systems by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulate cables, cleaning circuits.

Perform troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts or circuit boards, ensuring that systems are grounded.

Perform mechanic skills focusing on electrical mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing tasks.

Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper management.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas. Accomplish all required quality processes and documentation.

Participate in Continuous Improvement programs to increase platform performance

Help train new employees.

Attend meetings and trainings.

Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Understand Controls Logic and how to troubleshoot.

Experience with Allen Bradley hardware & software

Understand Industrial automation controls.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

Interpret work instructions and safety rules

Pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.

Repetitive arm and hand motions during working shift

Able to stand on feet during working shift.

Able to lift 40 pounds.

Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending over surfaces

Willing to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends

Willing to follow all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment

Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are frequently exposed to raw food material, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
