Job Description:
GDIT supports operational security, client support/help desk, data center operations, asset management, and systems engineering services for federal client in Washington D.C. area. We ae currently seeking a Senior IT Operations Manager to be located in the Washington, DC metro area to support our customer. This resource will be responsible for overseeing and managing operational, financial, and all contractual delivery aspects of projects. Candidates must be US citizens or Permanent Residents and a background investigation is required; you must have a current clean financial background. The role requires flexibility to support issues or planned activities after hours, weekends and holidays as needed. Successful candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate technical skills and engineering attitude for success, dedication and commitment.
Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Responsible to meet required contractual performance metrics such as SLAs, KPIs, OPI etc. Responsible to meet program financial metrics. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas. Function as the senior business leader on the program determining our customers' needs and priorities, coordinating technical solutions responses to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to delivery best in class services Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload Manages risk tracking process Attends customer meetings and serve as client liaison Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and client staff and stakeholders Coordinates development of and timely delivery of contractual deliverables To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:
Ten years of Enterprise IT Infrastructure Program Management, leading a large team of 80+ individuals Experience managing Data Centers with 1000+ Servers, 1,000+ network devices, and 10+ PB of storage Experience supporting at least one of the following emerging technologies: Cloud, Big Data, Cyber, and Managed Services. PMP Certification ITIL certification Certifications in CISSP, AWS/Azure is a plus. Clerance: Candidates must be eligible to obtain a federal security clearance

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
