ABOUT THIS ROLE
As the
Associate Director, Talent , you will be a key part of our People Team, deputy to our Head of Talent, and a critical contributor to our people operations and our overall growth as a company. In addition to managing recruiting operations, you will personally oversee senior-level searches from end-to-end and ensure that all recruiting-related work is done with excellence.
This is an opportunity to use what you know about excellent recruiting to help accelerate Orchestra to its next phase. Ideally, you have 8+ years of full-time experience in talent acquisition in a related field (e.g., a high-growth start-up) or a comparable fast-paced environment (e.g., a world-class agency)-and you have been personally responsible for making a high number of hires previously, at least 75-100+ people in a setting that is relevant to Orchestra (e.g., PR firm, growing startup, digital agency, or similar)

This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. Orchestra staff are in-office 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
As the
Associate Director, Talent , you will be responsible for... Leading end-to-end (role approval through start date) hiring for 4-5 senior searches at once, across multiple departments Establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of "client" departments and how they operate Working with recruiters to yield excellent results in our hiring operations Overseeing embedded recruiters in Orchestra companies, including subsidiary-specific operations, as needed Leading the talent team in partnering with hiring managers to finalize specifics of role scope, scorecard, search timeline, interview sequence, contract type, and other elements of a given search Joining (as needed) meetings with recruiters and hiring managers, and helping the team stay organized, give consistent and effective updates, and hold collaborators accountable for action items Overseeing the process design for how candidates move through our applicant tracking system in a timely fashion Using, iterating, and evolving a comprehensive set of best-practice processes, tools, checklists, and templates for recruiting and hiring at and across Orchestra Staying up to speed on talent market dynamics for roles related to all client departments and subsidiaries Supporting the Head of Talent and company department leads in designing and executing talent and hiring projects Essential skills:
Proven track record of success managing senior-level searches and recruitment processes and teams, and attracting and proactively sourcing top-tier talent Strong verbal and written skills with the capability to convey and simplify complex information Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and judgment abilities Capability to multitask in a high volume environment, prioritize and manage time and deadlines efficiently Adept at managing up and keeping all stakeholders apprised of the process, relevant information, the status of deliverables, etc. Accurate and precise attention to detail Effective troubleshooting skills, particularly under tight timelines or in response to last-minute change of plans Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance efficiency by streamlining and simplifying processes for continuous improvement 8+ years of experience in recruiting and hiring Note: Interested in this role but it's not quite the right match? Compensation philosophy : Orchestra offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
Salary range
(commensurate with experience and skills): $130,000-$150,000, plus eligibility for end of year bonuses based on firm, team and individual performance.
