Senior Database Analyst

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Case Management Systems Office (CMSO) in one of its mission-critical applications that is used by all federal courts' community. CMSO has a mature agile practice using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the AOUSC mission.

The Senior Database Analyst will execute the following responsibilities:

Works within an Agile solution development environment with daily scrums, biweekly sprint planning and quarterly Program Increment planning. Collaborates with Product Owners and users to gather business requirements and define and maps them to technical requirements. Meets with agency leaders and stakeholders, collaborating with other consultants and program/agency personnel regarding the development of innovative data analysis techniques. Develops standards operating procedure and best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors and frequently contributes to the development of new business strategy, ideas, and methods. Collects, analyzes, and interprets large amounts of data to help guide business decisions. Experience with using advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques. Synthesizes disparate information and recognizes patterns and relationships across data; synthesizes large sets of data from multiple sources, develops data visualizations for the purposes of tracking key performance indicators and other critical metrics tied to program outcomes. Ensures the proper definition, control, and coordination of data elements and standards, and the facilitation of efficient data relationships, systems integration, and physical structure. Participates in the development and implementation of database management policies and standards for efficient quality control and data administration. Hosts and conducts peer reviews of the code of other developers on the team. Performs data validation and ensures data accuracy and integrity. Develops stored procedures, jobs, views, tables, and other database objects in SQL Server Management Studio. Experience designing Data Models in Microsoft Excel Power Query and Dashboards in Power BI. Develops and deploys ETL packages using CI/CD pipeline. Exposure to core configuration management systems for version control. Works with Atlassian Suite of software development management tools. Indexes system and application logs in the Splunk system monitoring application, then creates dashboards, alerts, and reports from those logs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least seven (7+) years of overall relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant computer-based major. Proficient experience with Databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Oracle. Experience with Snowflake and exposure to cloud platforms, Azure cloud platform preferred. Demonstrated understanding of standard Data warehouse concepts. Adept with data modeling, data mapping, data flow diagrams and data marts. Previous experience architecting and implementing cloud-based database solutions on various platforms. Experience with Data migration from legacy on-premises database to multi-cloud/hybrid cloud platforms. Proven ability to spearhead and work independently, prioritize, and get things done. Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving skills. Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to identify priorities to accomplish a variety of tasks on schedule. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with people at every level. Comfortable writing down ideas, implementation plans and status reports. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Able to complete database environment installation, configuration, on-going administration support. Experience creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards. Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data. The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
