Job Purpose: The GSC Strategy team designs the supply chains to bring world-class GSK medicines and vaccines to patients. The Strategy team is responsible for product and network strategy. This role will drive the development and execution of the analytical network strategy, working with the product/strategy leads and product quality strategy leads to ensure robust QC networks are in place for New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercial supply. The One Strategy Team has a clear ambition to be the "Best in Industry Strategy team" of highly talented people. This role supports the ambition through benchmarking to understand industry standards and best practices, applying insights to enhance our analytical network capability and driving best practices in QC testing within the pharmaceutical and supply chain industries. Key Responsibilities: Develop and drive the execution of the analytical network strategy across the supply chain, ensuring alignment with GSK quality objectives: Define the QC testing network principles and approach to meet GSK quality objectives.
Translate the approved strategy into operational roadmaps and drive execution against objectives and deadlines.
Be a key contributor for decisions on major changes for products or network.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical testing principles into the end-to-end supply chain process.
Seek endorsement of the proposed strategy from the relevant GSK governance forums including the Supply Chain Review Board (SCRB).
Act as the voice of the analytical network in GSC. Work closely with GSC Quality, MSAT, R&D and other key stakeholders to align on Quality goals.
Act as the single point of contact in GSC Strategy for specific matters linked to analytical network strategy.
Drive innovation: Identify and assess quality control capacity and capabilities necessary to deliver the GSK pipeline.
Conduct benchmarking to understand industry standards and best practices, applying insights to enhance our analytical network strategy.
Focus on analytical testing strategy for ADCs and Oligos.
Implement metrics and performance management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the success and impact of analytical network strategy initiatives within the global supply chain.
Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to communicate progress and areas for improvement to senior leadership.
Initiate action to mitigate risks in the analytical network.
Building capability in the GSC and Strategy team: Foster a culture of awareness and expertise among team members, providing training and resources to enhance their understanding of quality control testing principles and practices within the GSC Strategy team.
Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s Degree required with 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in quality operations, quality control and/or analytical method development. Experience implementing successful initiatives within a global supply chain context. Experience with industry quality trends and best practices specific to the pharmaceutical supply chain. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to pharmaceutical testing. The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $192,950 to $261,050 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role.
