Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP seeks Senior Analyst, Real Estate Valuation Advisory based at New York, NY office. POSITION DUTIES: Responsible for performing financial modeling, business enterprise valuations of real estate entities, appraisals of real clients’ property assets and portfolios, and real estate valuations for financial reporting purposes (i.e., ASC 805, ASC 820 and ASC 360). •Conduct in-depth reviews of third-party valuations of real estate assets and entities and provide independent guidance to Baker Tilly’s real estate and construction assurance teams.•Execute real estate valuation and advisory projects. •Develop real estate valuation models utilizing discounted cash flows, direct capitalization, sales comparison approach, and cost approach valuation methodologies. •Utilize valuation models to determine as-is, pro-forma/prospective, and purchase price allocations to assist clients with real estate investment and compliance (i.e. tax and financial reporting). •Analyze portfolios of properties, including hotels, shopping malls, office buildings, retail stores, and multifamily houses, using Argus, Excel, Valcre and other property valuation and asset management software. •Conduct data and financial metrics analyses to develop an understanding of a particular market or property type. •Develop technical narrative and create summary format reports for client deliverables to include methodologies, market overviews, assumptions, market research and comparable transaction data used to develop analyses. •Build pro forma models, equity waterfall structures, and investment memorandum for acquisition, determining optimal real estate sale timing and annual budget computation and support our client in closing their real estate acquisitions. •Develop appropriate financial models with specialized assumptions to help clients with leasing decisions, real estate tax appeal and tenant’s bankruptcy. •Collect and sort data and information from CoStar and brokers to underwrite the valuation of properties and portfolios for potential investment; provide benchmark, life-table survival analysis, geographic analysis, and risk analysis via Tableau, Excel, and R to test company’s investment requirements. •Assist partners or client leads in providing due diligence through closing activities, including underwriting, modeling, structuring, and negotiation of terms. •Draw upon advanced knowledge in assets valuation and economics to assist with research and development of firm published thought leadership. •Use a variety of other tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Valcre, Argus, and CoStar.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field plus two years real estate valuation experience, including development and use of valuation modeling and portfolio analysis using Argus and Excel.
