Use machine learning and analytical techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems. Drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations as part of the DoD team. Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to develop, deploy, and model pipelines, applying ML and data science techniques in designing distributed and large-scale processing systems. Coordinate science and technology research and development (R&D) outreach and engagement efforts to help advance sensitive ML capability development efforts via technical leadership of external ML contracts. Write production-level, reusable, and easy-to-interpret code in R, Python (required), Java, C++, or other languages, while engaging in collaborative code reviews and providing technical feedback to improve existing ML model performance. Job Duties Build advanced AI/ML models to integrate with existing architecture and framework. Deliver algorithms for predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, forecasting, and free text query in an AI/ML Decision Support Tool. Utilize machine learning algorithms and deep learning neural networks to integrate with Command Common Operating Picture data repository, enabling logisticians' decision-making in near real-time. Provide visual displays of advanced analytic data to a geographic model/map and dashboards, supporting free text query capabilities. Develop specialized AI models correlating with various logistics datasets to meet desired objectives. Build predictive models using vast volumes of data. Have an in-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning algorithms, and frameworks. Work with Command Staff to ensure AI/ML workflows include Cyber, Knowledge, and Information Management disciplines to enable the Decision-Making Process. Build data ingestion and data transformation infrastructure to interface with the data repository application program interfaces (API). Develop AI/ML models to enterprise standards for data sharing with joint enterprise systems. Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a combination of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field. Proven experience in developing, deploying, and implementing ML models and algorithms in a production environment. Experience with large-scale data analysis, model development, validation, and implementation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (required), R, Java, and C++. Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras). Experience with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn). Familiarity with deep learning techniques and neural networks. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for ML model deployment. Knowledge of data ingestion and transformation techniques. Proficiency in developing APIs for data sharing and integration.
