Betty Adams is an excellent school that is constantly changing and growing to meet the needs of our students. Adams students, parents, staff, and community share the responsibility and commitment to helping students become life-long learners who will positively affect the future. We promote responsibility, achievement, and respect within a nurturing and challenging environment. Betty Adams is unique in its programming. The technology and infrastructure within the school is superior to most. We have an Early Childhood Center within the building that concentrates on emerging skills in literacy, language, math, science, and social skills. In addition, Betty Adams houses one of the District?s largest Autism programs. Children from the North end of the District are able to find success at Adams. This is largely due to the fact that teachers work closely with parents and students to develop strong relationships. We have over fifty staff members that collaborate to create a child-centered environment that is conducive to academic excellence and the social emotional growth of all students. We realize that education is more than academics. Art, Music, and Physical Education classes are important in helping students open their minds to new critical thinking. Our teaching staff takes responsibility for every student and views themselves as part of a systemic and systematic educational experience. Curriculum is presented so that each student achieves their highest potential. Each student and staff member has ready access to resources and materials to meet their varied needs and learning styles. This allows for problem solving, creativity, and an active challenging environment. We achieve this by providing an enriching atmosphere in the pursuit of continuous learning. Our staff development is clear, concise, and of high quality. At Betty Adams we are proud to be part of a larger community that embraces complex problems and dynamic situations. We understand the perspectives of others and embrace all students despite their obstacles and celebrate their accomplishments.
