Billing Manager Remote GlobalSource IT is a recruiting firm working with a direct client in the healthcare arena who is searching for a strong Billing Manager. Our client is making a significant impact by providing essential resources to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are looking for a professional who can effectively manage and optimize the billing processes to support this critical mission. The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the billing. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes, managing billing staff, handling customer billing inquiries, and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. The Billing Manager will play a critical role in optimizing billing procedures, reducing billing errors, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage Billing Processes : Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including authorization data entry and maintenance, invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. Ensure that billing is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies and relevant regulations. Team Leadership : Supervise, mentor, and train billing staff. Monitor team performance, set goals, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team productivity and growth. Clinical Team Interaction : Handle clinical staff inquiries and questions related to billing. Work closely with the clinical staff to resolve billing issues promptly and professionally. Financial Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities, including accounts receivable, revenue collection, and any discrepancies. Provide insights and recommendations to upper management based on these reports. Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve billing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain all SOPs related to billing functions and revenue collections, working with upper management and clinical team to address changes as needed. Compliance and Audit : Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits. Ensure that financial assessments are conducted with a focus on evaluating risk implications relative to the budget. Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with clinical team and administration to ensure data in system complies with provider contracts. Technology Utilization : Oversee the use of billing software and systems. Ensure that the team is adequately trained on any tools or platforms used in the billing process. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Billing and Coding Specialist) is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Skills : Strong understanding of billing and collection processes. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
