Responsible for Focusing on C-Corp tax accounting and compliance. EXPECTATIONS Handles Corporate Federal and State Tax issues. Prepares and provides help on accounting method and ASC 740. Prepares/reviews quarterly Estimate Taxable Income. Leads on special projects in various areas of corporate and flow through taxation such as accounting methods and ASC740. Coordinates complicated tax matters in the Corporate Fed, state and local issues with research and development along with credits and incentives areas. Participates in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues. Prepares miscellaneous indirect tax filings. Utilizes entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and outside vendors. Helps answer any tax related questions raised within company. Maintains knowledge and proficiency in current federal and state income tax laws and regulations. Assists in gathering information, researching tax issues and drafting formal responses to federal and state audit requests. Reports to Tax Director of the company. Highly focused on corporate compliance, which requires extensive knowledge on corporate filings and accounting methods. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION - REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION - PREFERRED JD - Juris Doctor Masters - Accounting/Tax QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION - FIELD(S)/PROFESSION(S) Accounting or a related degree in business. QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES 4 to 7 years of related experience providing Corporate tax compliance and consulting services in the financial services industry or public accounting firm. Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving. Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability. Strong Microsoft Suite skills. Company went through UP - C, which will require the understanding of new structure of company and related TRA's issues like tracking the basis. COMPENSATION The base salary range for this position is ($74,700 - $105,500), inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
