Role Definition The HR Data Steward Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, integrity, and security of our human resources data. This position plays a critical role in working with HR business partners, data privacy experts and Workday technical resources to maintain accurate and reliable HR data and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations. This position leads strategic HR data stewardship and privacy initiatives throughout the organization using a consultative approach to evangelize program initiatives across business lines. What You Will Do: Develop and implement data governance strategies and policies for HR data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, reliability and security. Regularly review and assess the quality of HR data, identifying discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies. Work with relevant stakeholders to resolve data quality issues promptly. Lead HR data protection and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations such as GDPR and other applicable laws. Work with stakeholders to establish and enforce data access controls and security measures. Partner with appropriate teams to define master data records for employees, including personal information, job roles, compensation details, and other relevant HR data points. Continuously assess and optimize HR data management processes. Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, entry, and reporting procedures. Work closely with HR leaders, IT teams, legal departments, and other relevant stakeholders to align data management practices with our business’ needs. Provide training to HR business partners on best practices, data governance guidelines, and data privacy regulations. Identify potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; develop corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and provide guidance for use in future situations. What You Have: Business Ethics: Knowledge of practices, behaviors, applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations. Issues Management and Remediation: Knowledge of techniques and processes for issues management and remediation; ability to identify any error or fault and correcting them in a timely manner. Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace. Audit and Compliance Function: Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance (A&C) function; ability to manage the operation of A&C function in various business environment.
