AutoCAD Technician / Drafter

M&L Electrical & Technical Systems has an immediate full-time opening for an energetic AutoCAD designer/drafter in our Bowling Green office. M&L Electrical is a full service design build contractor. We provide comprehensive solutions for the Industrial markets in the Southeast. M&L Technical Systems is the low-voltage alarm and communications contracting division of M&L Electrical, Inc. The Technical Systems team provides design, sales, installation and service of alarm and communications systems for commercial and industrial facilities. Job Description: Work with our engineering, design and project management teams to produce 2D AutoCAD installation and as-built record drawings for our field technicians and customers for various building systems: including lighting, power, mechanical power, power distribution, fire alarm, access control, video surveillance and paging as well as data and fiber optic infrastructure cabling. Responsibilities: 1. Produce 2D installation drawing sets based on provided designer technical information and guidance. Drawings may include floorplans, schematics, diagrams, and electrical layouts. 2. Work in a team environment with design engineers, project managers, field installation technicians and other AutoCAD designers. 3. Coordinate and maintain project drawings file storage structure to ensure easy accessibility for all team members. 4. Meet project deadlines as per the project schedule and be able to handle multiple projects at the same time. Requirements: 1. Associates Degree or 2 years Autodesk AutoCAD experience (preferred) 2. A self-motivated person with good organizational skills, attention to details, works well in a team environment and the ability to multi-task successfully. 3. Basic understanding of construction drawings (preferred) 4. Good written and oral communication skills. 5. Working knowledge of MS Word/Excel as well as Bluebeam. Salary & Benefits: 1.
