Job Purpose Assists Chief Tax & Compliance Officer in maintaining a high standard in providing tax data, corporate compliance, and integrity in financial data for a multi-national company. Responsibilities Prepares and maintains Sales tax library. Ensures Corporate Minute Books are up to date. Prepares and maintains tax filing calendar. Prepares Tangible Personal Property tax filings with support for review. Ensures fixed asset tax schedules are up to date. Assists in data preparation for bank compliance filings. 1. Prepares and maintains Sales tax library by: Creating a sales tax library in SharePoint. Maintaining sales tax library with relevant documentation. Maintaining awareness of sign-up for email updates and dissemination of relevant data. Performing semi-annual reviews of each jurisdiction Christie Lites is registered in. 2. Ensures Corporate Minute Books are up to date by: Preparing annual filing schedule. Ensuring annual filings are made per the filing schedule. Ensuring extraordinary occurrences are filed. 3. Prepares and maintains tax filing calendar by: Preparing calendar with all relevant filing dates for all tax-related matters. Ensuring auto-reminder is in place for each filing date with reasonable lead time. 4. Prepares Tangible Personal Property tax filings with support for review by: Preparing draft filings along with all relevant data for review by CTCO. Ensuring preparations are made with appropriate lead time. 5. Ensures fixed asset tax schedules are up to date by: Reviewing all asset schedules and ensuring completeness monthly. 6. Assists in data preparation for bank compliance filings by: Assisting in the preparation of all relevant data required to compile reports for banks. Preparing draft reports for review by the CTCO. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices including General Ledger reconciliations. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable functions, and month-end procedures. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. Adhere to strict deadlines. Superior communication skills as this position requires direct contact with staff and management. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. Experience with accounting software applications, preferably Sage.
