Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. This Plant Human Resources Manager leads the team of HRBPs supporting Operations and Business functions. The Plant Human Resources Manager partners with Operations and Business counterparts to help drive the Illuminate USA people vision, mission and strategy. The HRBPs and HRBP Manager are the face of HR to the Company while also, advancing strategic initiatives that support attracting and retaining top talent and building our brand of an employer of choice. How you’ll make an impact: Offer insights on HR trends and best practices to drive long-term organizational goals. Develop strategies to achieve high levels of associate morale, job satisfaction, and overall engagement. Diagnose people trends through HR metrics and associate experience strategy. Lead HRBPs in resolving conflicts and maintain positive workplace relationships. Collaborate with various teams to address cross-functional challenges and opportunities. Responsibilities: Lead a team of HRBPs. Advises counterparts on people and culture initiatives, acting as a true partner to the business. Coaches HRBPs and managers on associate relations issues and on the interpretation of policies and procedures. Executes on HR projects and initiatives, working with colleagues to meet project timetable and deadlines. Acts as an adviser/coach by providing HR expertise and guidance when appropriate on HR related matters– coaching, counseling, career development, resource planning, succession planning, employee relations. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and escalates to Senior HR leader for the business unit to ensure consistency. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Works closely with Human Resources leadership, Business and Operations leadership and associates to improve work relationships, create culture, build morale, and retention. Adviser on all HR policy guidance and interpretation. Adviser on all disciplinary matters up to including separations for cause. Supports Workday and other HRIS systems ensuring accuracy of data. Completes other tasks as identified by supervisor.
