Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Lead and direct all aspects of the EHS program at a chemical manufacturing site in Central IL. You will supervise a Safety/IH Specialist, an Environmental Specialist, and a part time Admin. You will report to the Site Manager and serve on the Site Leadership Team while enjoying a low level of bureaucracy and a dedicated team of coworkers. Build a Safety Excellence Plan for the site and build a site safety committee comprised of a cross section of employees. Many emission reduction projects are underway, and the site is well funded with capital for the next 3-4 years for site upgrades Oversee the PSM program and drive Operational Discipline for the site. Monitors proposed and existing EHS regulations and legislation and develop and implement programs accordingly. Support the creation and implementation of strategic long term plans for the site and shorter terms continuous improvement plans. Establishes site EHS goals and objectives for the site. Manages system for identifying and tracking undesired EHS events. Ensures corrective actions are taken to fulfill regulatory compliance. Manage all plant environmental permitting and compliance efforts. Oversee waste management Develop and monitor emergency action plans.
