A software developer is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This position will report into the Director of Global Tax. This position supports the global tax accounting and compliance function of the Company's tax department. The role will be responsible for preparing calculations and reconciliations in connection with the global income tax provision and U.S federal and state income tax compliance. Responsibilities: The Tax Manager will be responsible for: Prepare book to tax reconciliations for all entities in the U.S. consolidated tax filing group, including detailed analysis and reconciliations of tax adjustments. Prepare GILTI inclusion calculation including detailed analysis of tested income adjustments by foreign entity. Prepare and analyze data to compute foreign tax credit by bucket and potential limitations. Prepare calculation of foreign derived intangible income (FDII) benefit and base erosion anti-abuse tax (BEAT). Review estimated tax payments and extension calculations and manage payment process. Coordinate with Treasury to make sure the Company is set up to make EFT payments to state taxing authorities. Monitor the filing of returns, extensions, and payments to ensure they are accurately and timely filed. Work directly with external income tax preparer to address queries and manage requests for information. Prepare tax provision calculations for U.S and foreign entities. Prepare and aggregate information for forecasted GAAP effective tax rate for interim tax accounting and reporting. Calculate and book monthly tax provision. Prepare requests for data collection and organize data for tax adjustment calculations. Work with Tax Director to validate tax payable/receivable transactions and balances by entity. Assist Tax Director in validating and preparing support for deferred tax asset/liability balances. Maintain and update worldwide tax calendar, including the tracking of due and filing dates. Manage and update FIN 48 and FAS 5 reserve files, interest, track expiration dates and prepare information for to support state tax positions. Maintain and update state income tax nexus analysis by entity. Prepare detailed state apportionment workpapers including analysis of sourcing by revenue stream. Review and update state tax adjustments on a quarterly and annual basis. Including, but not limited to, GILTI, FDII, Sections 163(j), 174 and other nonconformity items. Prepare fixed asset additions and dispositions for depreciation calculations, review depreciation reports and reconcile book versus tax basis of fixed assets by entity. Prepare estimated tax payments and extension calculations and process payments. Prepare calculations and supporting workpapers for U.S. and state income tax compliance. Review state income tax returns and monitor the filing of returns, extensions, and payments to ensure they are accurately and timely filed. Prepare/review state estimated tax payments and extension calculations and manage payment process. Coordinate with Treasury to make sure the Company is set up to make EFT payments to state taxing authorities. Work directly with external income tax preparer to address queries and manage requests for information. Prepare the data and tax adjustment for the annual U.S federal, state and local income tax provision. Assist in preparing support documentation and calculations related to forecasted GAAP effective tax rate for interim tax accounting and reporting. Support Director of Global Tax in maintaining SOX documentation. Assist with quarterly and year-end close processes. Support the income tax compliance processes and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and completion time. Support Tax Director with preparation and coordination of responses to tax authorities for tax audits, notices and investigations. Support in the implementation and integration of acquisitions/transactions. Assist in tax planning and special projects. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting required. 5 years minimum total experience, including experience with a publicly traded company and/or national public accounting firm. Experience with Hyperion. Hyperion Planning, JD Edwards. Strong preference for CorpTax or tax provision software experience. Knowledge of internal control documentation requirements for tax processes under Sarbanes-Oxley. Knowledge of U.S. taxation of domestic and international transactions. Knowledge of ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109). Desired Skills: MS/MBA in Taxation and/or CPA preferred. Solid communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and external service providers. Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
