Preventive maintenance on Simplex fire alarm system, back-up generators, UPS power back-up systems to ensure un-interrupted service to 24-hour operations. Maintenance and repair on electrical motors and controls on HVAC fan and blower assemblies, chillers, drive pumps, re-circulating pumps, broiler, and lighting systems interior and exterior. Maintain rooftop exhaust fans, assist in HVAC servicing, and filter changes. Performs in-house projects on lighting repair and improvements, adding receptacles and circuits in existing structures. Maintains and repairs emergency lighting systems, including testing, and wiring emergency ballasts. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Performs diagnostic work, maintenance and repair on HVAC controls, actuators, dampers, thermostats, sensors, A/C compressors. Performs maintenance work on locks, electronic locks, and keypads. Seasonally operates snow removal equipment and grounds equipment to ensure 24-hour access to campus. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Licensing & Certification: Minimum Qualifications: Two years' experience as an electrician. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Ability to repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs. Ability to lift push, pull or carry objects. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, stand, stoop, crawl in confined spaces, and climb ladders. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work with people of all skill sets; work independently and in a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with agency employees, material suppliers, and the general public.
