CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ Poly Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a Linux-focused role, with responsibilities spanning system administration, application engineering, DevOps, and systems engineering. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain Linux systems, support application development, and optimize DevOps processes in a secure, high-performance environment. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Poly, and offers the opportunity to work on critical projects at Ft. Meade. Key Responsibilities : Manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring system integrity, security, and performance Develop and support applications in Linux environments, focusing on automation and optimization Implement and maintain DevOps pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment Perform system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting for high availability and scalability Support virtualized environments and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and efficiency Maintain compliance with security protocols and standards, ensuring systems are hardened and secure Required Skills and Qualifications : 7 years of experience in Linux system administration, DevOps, or application engineering Strong proficiency with Linux-based systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef) Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Docker Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, Python) for automation tasks Knowledge of networking, security hardening, and monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar) and virtualization (VMware, KVM) Strong understanding of security policies and compliance standards (STIGs, DISA) Preferred Skills : Experience working in government or DoD environments Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) AWS or Azure certifications Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field required
