The successful candidate will be at the forefront of shaping the strategic direction of the business, managing its day-to-day operations, and driving results. This role involves close collaboration with the executive team to set and execute long- and short-term strategies, leading the business unit in goal setting, performance planning, and management, and playing a direct role in growing the portfolio of defense services contract work. The COO will also be responsible for maintaining the financial, operational, and performance health of the organization, ensuring alignment with the company's core operations, and building a culture that is diverse, inclusive, equitable, and performance-oriented. Applicants must have experience in the defense services industry, the ability to manage a multi-million-dollar profit & loss business, and a strong understanding of professional services and government contracting.
