The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work: The Senior IT Project Manager is an integral role within the Division of Information Technology, Office of Project Management. This position leads the development and maintenance of IT projects, resources, and strategic objectives regarding the IT project portfolio. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Applies advanced Traditional and Agile project management knowledge, ethics, skills and methodologies to plan, manage and complete projects that implement solutions for MDTA's electronic toll collections, law enforcement systems, financial management systems, asset management, human resources, internal IT operations and support, communications, and fair practices. Ensures project methodologies, delivery processes, and implementation management are followed to include managing and driving project schedules, risk and issue management, scope change management, and managing the project budget; ```{html} ``` - Identifies, analyzes, and defines emerging technical requirements and new IT initiatives; - Provides thoughtful and constructive oversight guided by the strategic priorities, mission, vision and values of the MDTA; - Ensures the timely and successful completion of IT projects that meet requirements and budget focusing on a commitment to maximizing project success while building efficiencies and delivering quality end results and business value; and - Develop a workload management plan that organizes and forecasts personnel allocation to project assignments. The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Project Management. The current vacancy is in Baltimore, Maryland. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.
