Job Number: R0205852 Embedded Software Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: As an embedded software engineer, you know how to create and maintain crucial pieces of software. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. We're looking for an experienced embedded software engineer like you to develop technology for our clients' most important mission-forward challenges. As a senior embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you'll support the development of software defined radio (SDR) architectures, sing the latest tools and technology to write, test, and edit code in support of the client's mission. You'll expand your skills as you develop and reverse engineer software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You'll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity specialists to ensure that the software you're creating is secure. You Have: 2 years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications using agile methods 2 years of experience with C, C++, or Rust development projects 2 years of experience building or compiling software on Linux Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: 5 years of experience with embedded programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, or Python 5 years of experience with Android iOS, Swift, Wind River VxWorks, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Gdb Debugger Possession of strong analytical and problem-solving skills TS/SCI clearance Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
