Move Forward with Volt Volt is immediately hiring Software Engineer in Aurora, CO As Software Engineer you will: As a Software Engineer, you can directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. What You Will Do Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems. Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. What you will learn A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design. Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques. Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects. Satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations. This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity. This position requires Active Top-Secret Clearance. The Ideal candidate will have: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant software engineering experience. Experience developing object-oriented software using C++. Ability to troubleshoot software errors and provide fixes. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with satellite command and control software. Experience developing software using Java and Python. Background in microservices, Kubernetes, and containerized applications. Ability to perform software designs for future capabilities. Experience modernizing legacy systems. Background in planning and scheduling algorithms. Pay Range: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour.
