Position Summary: The Associate Vice President for University Programs and Strategic Initiatives (AVP-UPSI) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and advancing the University's strategic initiatives and enhancing enrollment efforts at the University of Dubuque, with a particular focus on expanding access to and enhancing the quality of professional studies, online, and adult degree-completion programs, particularly those within LIFE (Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement). This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of higher education trends, a passion for innovative pedagogy, and a commitment to student learning, one who will lead the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of these programs to enhance student access, flexibility, and success. Primary Responsibilities for the Learning Institute for Fulfillment and Engagement (LIFE): Program Oversight and Development Strategic Leadership Faculty and Staff Development Student Success and Support Services Enrollment Management and Marketing Technology and Innovation Budget and Resource Management External Relations and Partnerships Responsibilities for Other University Programs and Strategic Initiatives: Program Development and Oversight Strategic Leadership Faculty and Staff Development Enrollment Management External Relations Team Leadership and Management The AVP-UPSI will play a critical role in shaping the future of the University by driving strategic initiatives, enhancing enrollment, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Experience in developing and implementing innovative academic programs and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of adult learner needs and preferences. Proficiency in using technology and data analytics to inform decision-making. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in a relevant field. Significant experience in higher education administration, with a focus on professional studies, online education, and adult learning.
