Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Ophthalmology Job Duration: Ongoing Shift: Day - 3x12 - 7am to 7pm, 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified; board certification required License: Board Certification Eligible Certifications: - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Board Certification - Surgical/Invasive Ophthalmology skills Job Description: - Shifts are from Friday 7:00 am to the following Friday 7:00 am. - Voalte secure internal paging system is used for call management. - Hospital Trauma Level: 1 - Pediatrics Level: 3 Specialty Skills Required: - Ophthalmology Non-Surgical and Surgical/Invasive procedures - Non-Surgical/LASER procedures (Preferred) - Anterior Segment: Cataract removal, Phacoemulsification, Extracapsular Extraction, Intracapsular Extraction, Intraocular lens Implantation, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant, and Lamellar Keratectomy (Preferred) - Refractive Surgery: LASIK and Keratectomy (Preferred) - Posterior Segment procedures and Vitreo-retinal procedures (Not Required but Preferred) - Intra-ocular injections (Preferred) - Plastic and Orbital surgery (Preferred) - General Orthopedics (Preferred) Ophthalmology Studies: - Ultrasound Interpretation (A and B-Scan), with focus on Performance (B-Scan) (Preferred) - Photos interpretation, Fluorescein angiography interpretation, and Optical coherence tomography interpretation (Preferred) Nearest Airport and Lodging Recommendations: - Lodging is recommended at local hotels for convenience. Additional Notes: - The role includes orientation and additional shifts in 2025. - Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days post application.
