Job Title: HSE Coordinator Department : Administration Reports To : CEO FLSA Status : Full-time, Exempt Job Overview: National Wire is a family-owned and operated welded wire manufacturing business since 1995 and continues to constantly grow its product lines and customer service. Position Overview The HSE Coordinator will support leadership by communicating HSE goals, programs, and processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience to address challenges, develop and achieve objectives, and support both short- and long-term business goals. Key Responsibilities Ensure all employees receive the appropriate HSE training and oversee both internal and external training programs, including: Registering employees for necessary HSE training. Coordinating with Project Managers to confirm site-specific HSE compliance. Organizing and facilitating Emergency Response Team (ERT) drills and other required training. Keeping training records updated. Maintain and report on HSE statistics, including injury/illness records, vehicle incidents, and work hours. Manage drug and alcohol programs (DOT, Non-DOT, DISA), including scheduling tests and maintaining records. Identify workplace hazards, promote safe practices, and ensure employees understand and use PPE correctly. Ensure compliance with chemical safety by maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labeling for hazardous materials. Collaborate across departments to uphold HSE compliance standards. Oversee injury/illness case management and workers’ compensation, manage OSHA 300 & 300A logs, and conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis. Conduct internal HSE inspections and audits, review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms, and support the company’s 5S program. Requirements Must be located in the Houston area. Relocation and sponsorship are not available. Minimum of 3 years of practical HSE experience (5 years preferred). Experience with OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001, 9001) and ISO 14001-compliant management systems. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
