Associate Attorney - Settlement Transactions

Job Description A highly regarded boutique law firm is seeking a newly admitted attorney to join their recognized employment law practice. We are searching for a diligent and detail-oriented associate attorney with an interest in handling settlement negotiations and transactional matters. As a member of the settlement team, associates assist with ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations, reducing settlement risk, and streamlining the closing process. Responsibilities: Assist in negotiating and finalizing settlements Draft and review settlement agreements and transaction related documents Manage and assist in all aspects of settlement transactions, including document preparation, review, and final execution Ensure that all necessary legal documents are prepared and executed appropriately, funds are collected and disbursed to all the proper parties, and filing joint motions where necessary Coordinate with clients, senior attorneys, and external parties to ensure smooth case resolution Provide support on broader business transactions and legal issues as needed Conduct legal research related to settlement issues and business matters Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the California Bar 0-2 years of experience, preferably with exposure to settlements, negotiations, and related transactional matters is a plus Exceptional communication skills, collaborates well with a team and others Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities Proficiency in legal drafting and transactional document preparation A team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Mid-size firm with a close-knit office culture, offering great mentorship Competitive salary (commensurate with experience, supplemented with bonuses No billable hour requirement Health, dental, vision benefits Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) savings plan To apply, forward your resume in confidence to Jordan at jordan.wheelergogpac.com, or reach out directly for more details.
