Overview: The Sales Support Specialist provides a consistent, high-quality support experience and models exceptional service to build strong partnerships by putting customers and sales team success first. This role serves as the main liaison and communication link between customers, sales, and operations, proactively handling order management, sales support, problem-solving, and providing essential information for internal and external stakeholders. The Sales Support Specialist is a valued team member working closely with the sales team, championing SupplyOne values, services, and product offerings to ensure complete, tailored solutions that meet and exceed sales goals. Key Duties and Accountabilities Process and confirm orders or identify what needs to be ordered, on the day they are received. Generate standard quotes within 24-48 hours of receipt. Respond to calls by the 3rd ring and reply to all emails by the end of each day. Build, maintain, and update price lists to protect and uphold GP margins. Develop accurate specs and inventory items within 24-48 hours. Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate as necessary for timely and effective resolution. Monitor customer min/max levels, open orders, back orders, and inventory, alerting customers to changes to deliver in full, on time, and in spec (DIFOTIS). Use independent judgment and decision-making skills frequently to meet quality and performance standards. Act as the point of contact and liaison with sales, purchasing, design, manufacturing, and shipping departments. Essential Functions Prepare proposals and various sales correspondence. Facilitate new item setup, including tapoffs, proof approvals, etc. Maintain detailed customer records and transaction histories. Monitor and assist with resolving slow-payment issues. Support sales team in managing slow-moving inventory. Expedite materials based on customer demand and sales requests. Educational/Training Requirements/Experience High School diploma/GED required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus. Experience in sales support or customer service preferred. Experience in an inside sales or order management role is advantageous. Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Demonstrated initiative in professional growth and learning. Basic arithmetic skills, including gross profit calculations. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Consistent attendance and punctuality.
