The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically cultivating donor relationships, guiding donor strategies, and ensuring the stewardship of gifts to inspire future philanthropy. This role requires a mission-first mindset, a commitment to the health and well-being of children and mothers, and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be involved in organizational leadership, engaging with volunteer committees, and leading team and foundation-wide projects. The position demands a high level of adaptability, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in the areas of individual philanthropy and complex giving structures. Candidates for the Executive Director of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a graduate degree, and at least 10 years of related fundraising experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in academic medicine or a similar complex research organization, and experience in a leadership role with a focus on major and principal gifts. The role requires a deep understanding of the philanthropic process, the ability to lead and coach a team of fundraisers, and a proven track record of successful fundraising.
