Maintain and repair the electrical systems in all North Slope Borough facilities and approved residential buildings area wide. Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment. Check and maintain fire alarms in facilities and buildings. Observe safety standards and regulations. Travel to and work within North Slope Borough villages. Attend training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies and procedures. Skill in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems, components and equipment. Education, Experience, Certifications and Licenses Required High school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience. State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness; Two years of electrical maintenance work experience; Ability to obtain an Alaska driver's license that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria within 30 days.
