About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Director of Construction to lead and oversee our solar energy projects from concept to completion. This role is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina , and requires an expert with 6-10 years of experience in solar construction . The Director of Construction will manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a pivotal role that will contribute directly to our mission of expanding renewable energy infrastructure across the region. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end construction of solar projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with various teams and stakeholders. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, superintendents, and construction staff to deliver quality results. Budget & Financial Management: Establish and manage budgets for each project, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements to ensure the well-being of all employees and contractors. Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control measures to ensure all projects meet company and industry standards. Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in project plans and implement strategies to mitigate those risks, ensuring smooth execution. Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage detailed project timelines and allocate resources effectively to optimize project efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering , or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in solar energy or renewable construction preferred. 6-10 years of proven experience in managing solar energy construction projects, ideally with a background in large-scale solar infrastructure. Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and renewable energy project management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
