Industrial Maintenance Technician

LINK Staffing has partnered with a reputable local company to find a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for their team. This vital role focuses on maintaining and optimizing industrial equipment and machinery to ensure safe, efficient plant operations. We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in an industrial or manufacturing environment—experience in a shred or recycling facility is a plus. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly encouraged to apply. Position Details Salary : $65,000 – $73,000 annually Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Benefits : Comprehensive healthcare plan Key Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance : Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and adjustments on equipment such as shredders, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Troubleshooting and Repairs : Diagnose machinery issues, identify root causes, and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime. Electrical & Mechanical Systems : Work on complex systems, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers). Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and plant regulations, reporting and addressing unsafe conditions. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Collaboration : Partner with Production and Quality Control teams to ensure efficiency and product quality. Continuous Improvement : Propose enhancements to improve equipment reliability and productivity. Qualifications Education : High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred. Experience : Minimum of 3 years in industrial maintenance, ideally in a shred or recycling plant or heavy manufacturing setting. Technical Skills : Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, along with electrical systems, welding, and fabrication. PLC troubleshooting is a plus. Physical Requirements : Capable of working in a demanding environment with heavy lifting and exposure to high noise and variable temperatures. Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Language Skills : Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.
