Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist Location: On-site in Richmond, VA office (no remote option) Richmond National Insurance Company is an excess and surplus lines insurance company that specializes in underwriting property, casualty and professional liability risks for small businesses that have difficulty finding coverage in the standard insurance market. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our small and effective HR team. The ideal candidate will have a background in professional recruiting and an entrepreneurial mindset. Responsibilities : Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable employment laws. Work with hiring managers to gather job requirements, develop a recruiting plan for each position, and source candidates through a variety of tools and methods. Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes for each role. Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives, and maintain up-to-date job descriptions and job postings. Draft, extend, and negotiate offers in alignment with company policies. Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and candidates during the selection and onboarding process. Continuously evaluate and refine recruiting processes to reflect industry best practices, ensuring fairness, inclusivity, and regulatory compliance. Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process to promote our company’s reputation as a “Top Workplace” in Richmond. Other recruiting and/or HR tasks and projects as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience recruiting for professional roles. Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference checks, in-person interviews, career fairs, etc.) Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of the organization, from entry-level to executive. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and make informed decisions. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Hands-on experience using HR software and/or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Recruiting experience in technology, insurance, and/or financial industries will be helpful but not required.
