The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatics scientist to join our group who can contribute to and help drive the expansion of our AOC platform. A successful candidate is expected to be a strong team player who will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in both Research and Development programs to design, analyze, and interpret genomics and other multi-omics experiments. This individual should enjoy scientific discovery and collaboration in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. What You Will Contribute Support pre-clinical and clinical drug discovery activities, including siRNA library design, off-target analysis, disease model characterization, and biomarker development Collaborate with project teams to design genomic experiments, develop analysis approaches, and independently execute bioinformatics analyses Identify relevant internal and external data and knowledge resources and perform integrated data analyses Document hypotheses, experimental design, analysis methods, and results in a meticulous manner Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams; organize and present results concisely at regular team and cross-functional project meetings What We Seek: PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or Computer Science, with 0-3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or MS/BS degree with 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Expertise in analyzing data from microarray, NGS, proteomics, and metabolomics Expertise in R and/or Python, Linux, HPC, cloud computing (e.g., AWS), and version control (e.g., Github) Knowledge of and experience with current bioinformatics trends, public genomic tools, databases, and utilities Knowledge of text mining and data mining Experience with open source and commercial pathway and network analysis tools Sound knowledge of theoretical and applied statistics Demonstrated ability to communicate with cross-functional teams, including Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, etc. A strong ability to understand and communicate with wet-lab scientists is highly desirable. Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills Bioinformatics expertise in translational development and RNA therapeutics (e.g., siRNA library design) is highly desirable Experience in muscle biology is a plus What We Will Provide to You: The base salary range for this role is $120,700 - $136,400. The final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience, skillset, internal equity, and market factors.
