Sales Development Representative

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking to add a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, identifying potential customers, and creating opportunities for the sales team. Your primary goal is to set up qualified meetings or calls, driving the sales pipeline and helping the team achieve revenue targets. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Director of Revenue Operations and works in partnership with the other SDR’s, Business Development Reps and Area Managers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities: Prospecting & Lead Generation Research and identify new business opportunities through outbound efforts (cold calls, emails, social media, etc.) Build and maintain a database of potential clients Utilize tools like Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, and other lead generation and CRM platforms to find target prospects Inbound Response and Outbound Outreach: Quickly respond to Inbound leads to qualify prospect and set meetings Conduct a high volume of outbound calls and emails to generate interest in company products/services Personalize outreach to prospects based on research and the specific needs of their business Qualify Leads: Engage with potential customers to understand their pain points, needs, and fit with our offerings Assess lead quality based on criteria like current Payroll Provider, size of company, renewal dates, and decision maker interest Hand overqualified leads to the sales team with detailed insights Pipeline Management: Track and manage leads in the CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information Follow up with prospects in a timely manner and move them through the sales funnel Work closely with the Business Development Managers to refine strategies, campaigns, and messaging for specific markets Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings, opportunities, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Two or more years of business-to-business sales experience in an outbound environment Goal-oriented, motivated self-starter, with capacity and drive to reach and exceed goals Ability to work independently and work with others Demonstrated outbound calling sales ability, with assertive, positive, and persistent style Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal, listening, written) Ability to meet critical deadlines and work through constantly changing priorities. Knowledge of Workman’s Compensation, Health Benefits and PEO plus Experience with marketing automation software and other lead generation applications a plus QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two years outbound calling experience with demonstrable and provable results Salary and Other Compensation : The starting hourly range for this position is $25-33.00/hr. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications and other qualifications of the candidate. This position is also eligible for commission pay in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.
