Our client, an emerging leader in the beauty industry, is seeking a Director of Marketing with expertise in social media and influencer relations. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment in the Los Angeles area. Role Overview As the Director of Marketing, you will spearhead our integrated communications and content strategy across earned, owned, and paid media channels. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is both strategic and creatively hands-on. You’ll lead our communication efforts in Social Media, PR, and Influencer Marketing, ensuring our storytelling resonates with consumers through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and content strategy that enhances our brand narrative and product stories. Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging social media content, including photography, video editing, and content optimization. Data-Driven Strategy: Utilize analytics to evaluate the success of communication efforts and refine strategies as needed. Infrastructure Development: Help build an efficient framework for our rapidly growing brand, leveraging industry best practices and tools. Team Management: Lead a team, ensuring smooth execution across PR, influencer marketing, digital marketing, social media, and events. Collaborative Planning: Work closely with Brand & Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, eCommerce, and Creative teams to foster integrated planning and creativity. Brand Stewardship: Uphold and champion our brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency in all communications. Thought Leadership: Stay informed about emerging communication channels and trends, mentoring your team to encourage a culture of innovation. Qualifications Experience: 10 years in Influencer Marketing, PR, and social media, ideally with a mix of agency and client-side experience. Creative Vision: Strong aesthetic sense for visual storytelling and high-quality content creation. Content Expertise: Proficient in hands-on content creation and editing for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The application process will include a content creation and curation exercise. Technical Skills: Familiarity with social media marketing tools such as Meta Ads Manager, DashHudson, and influencer marketing platforms (e.g., Grin, Modash). Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of marketing analytics and performance metrics to inform decision-making. Leadership: Proven track record of effectively leading teams and driving results. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across various teams. Integrated Strategy: Experience in developing and executing cohesive marketing strategies. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
