Job ID 67404 CNC Machinist We are seeking a dedicated professional with strong experience in machining operations, not just CNC machine operation. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of employment, with 3 years of work history per position in similar roles. This position is committed to producing high-quality parts on the first attempt, promoting safety, continuous improvement, and world-class manufacturing standards. This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon working Monday - Thursday from 5:30AM-4PM. CNC Machinist Responsibilities Prove out new CNC programs and operate machines effectively. Verify tooling, setups, and program coordinates to ensure the production of quality parts. Edit programs as needed and make notations for necessary changes. Suggest improvements to programs for reduced run times and increased efficiency. Analyze tooling, setups, and procedures, providing recommendations for operational enhancements. Load and unload parts, position work in fixtures, and use gages and calipers to ensure parts meet dimensional specifications. Maintain constant vigilance to detect and address any improper machining. Communicate and collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement. CNC Machinist Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in each relevant position, showing consistent employment history. Proficiency in horizontal mill setup, preferably with FANUC Controls. Strong understanding of CNC G & M codes and Machine Shop Math. Ability to read and interpret blueprints with attention to detail. Experience with various lifting devices (forklift, overhead crane, etc.). Ability to inspect parts for conformity, both visually and mechanically, against blueprints and process dimensions. Knowledge of speeds, feeds, and tooling adjustments to optimize machine performance. Capability to perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Preferred: A two-year Machining Technology degree or equivalent technical training. Proven experience in making program adjustments and providing feedback for process improvements. Salary: $25-$32/hr (DOE)
