The Air Logistics Station Manager at Toledo Express Airport plans, directs, and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, warehouse and freight cargo operations in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. Manages and motivates warehouse and airport ramp personnel in a 24/7/365 operation. Confers and cooperates with upper management in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. Analyzes records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of station activities. Reviews and analyzes expenditures, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profits. Prepares recommendations on findings for upper management evaluation. Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment which would increase efficiency and services. Approves requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within limits of facility budget. The position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to lead an experienced team and other parallel business members in the safe and professional delivery of products and services to business, commercial, and government entities. The Air Logistics Station Manager will be required to maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Responsibilities Plan, organize, lead and control staff to promote a workplace culture of teamwork, self-motivation, and pride within a diversified and multi-cultural work environment. Develop next level leaders and managers in both leadership and management skills. Supervise staff to meet business needs and facilitate successful outcomes by following carrier’s Service Level Agreement performance standards. Prepare various operational reports, providing weekly and monthly data regularly, including special reports requested on an ad hoc basis to senior leaders across the network. Ensure operational leadership is monitoring and instructing Airport Ramp and Warehouse Agents to follow safety rules and safety standards that are in place. Participate in recruiting activities, interviewing candidates and making hiring decisions. Assist in employee relations and/or conflict resolution, prepare performance appraisals, provide input for counselling and terminations. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Airline/Logistics/Transportation experience preferred Must have prior experience in managing a high-volume workforce of 150 or more employees 8-10 years of leadership and management experience required Must possess leadership skills with the ability to train and develop managers and front-line personnel Must be able to continually respond to and prioritize within a fluid work environment Must have ability to work across the 24/7 schedule based on the needs of the business Must have strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Requires 24-hour/7-day on-call status. Able to work, nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Capable of working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Able to lift 50 pounds, push, climb, and walk for the majority of the workday.
