Role Overview The Media Delivery team is responsible for the delivery of the Media suite of services within Tata Communications. Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the Program Director - Broadcast Transformations role will lead the end-to-end transformation of broadcast workflows, overseeing the optimization and cloudification of the broadcast chain, including channel acquisition, play out automation, transcoding, and distribution. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of customers strategic broadcast transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud-based technologies to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and standardize operations across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management Manage and support a portfolio of projects within region. Taking accountability for the successful transition from sales engineering to delivery and ensure a seamless transition into operations. Coordinate resource requirements across multiple project teams, ensuring adequate support for all critical workstreams. Program Leadership Lead transformation programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering on time, within scope, and on budget. Develop and manage the overall program roadmap, including milestones, dependencies, and critical paths. Coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including the customer and internal teams at Tata Communications. Broadcast Workflow Optimization Oversee the migration and standardization of broadcast workflows, including channel acquisition, playout automation, transcoding, and distribution. Ensure integration and alignment of cloud-based solutions for channel origination and playout, focusing on maximizing operational efficiency and reducing costs. Technology and Cloud Adoption Drive cloud adoption across all broadcast workflows, managing the transition from traditional infrastructure to cloud-based solutions. Collaborate with technology partners to deliver solutions using headend broadcast workflows, Cloud or on Prem Channel processing including transcoding, Statmux management and Satellite Uplinks, and other relevant technologies. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and Tata Communications, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards the program's objectives. Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate progress, manage expectations, and address any risks or issues that arise during the program. Risk Management and Issue Resolution Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program delivery. Lead the resolution of any technical or operational issues, working closely with engineering teams and technology partners. Budget and Resource Management Manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenditure against forecasts. Coordinate resource requirements across multiple project teams, ensuring adequate support for all critical workstreams. Qualifications Proven experience in leading large-scale broadcast transformation programs, particularly within DTH, OTT, or similar media environments. Strong knowledge of broadcast and production technology, including channel acquisition, playout automation, transcoding, and distribution. Experience with cloud-based broadcast solutions Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at senior levels within complex organizations. Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and delivering programs within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing complex issues and driving solutions. Skills Project and program management expertise, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred. Deep understanding of broadcast operations, cloud technologies, and managed services. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure. Additional Requirements Willingness to travel as needed to support program activities across different regions. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global stakeholders up to CXO level. Total compensation (including 20% bonus and excluding benefits): $145,000 - $190,000
